Today is Raising Student Assets Thursday!

I am so excited to be back for Positive Actions today, Oct. 25th! As we continue to improve our positive thoughts, actions and feelings, around Widmyer Elementary School, today we will take a look at raising student assets and a super important positive action word:

LISTENING

Tell your teacher what you think the word "LISTENING" means.
* "to give attention to"
* "attend closely for the purpose of hearing"
* "to wait attentively for a sound"

To listen.  Listening.  Watch today's video...

At home, families can sometimes be too pre-occupied with stuff to do that they just do not slow down to LISTEN to each other.  When we do other activities than staring at cell phones, watching tv, or playing video games, we can have positive high-quality relationships with family members

Now, let's talk!  First, tell your teacher what happened in this video. Then, answer these questions:

1)  Who had a positive thought?

2)  Who did a positive action?

3)  Who has positive feelings at the end of this video?

4)  Why?
